Summer is chugging along, only 2 more weeks of working Extended School Year (ESY) and the summer camp. Then I am off for about 3-3.5 weeks. I will still be seeing my clients for ABA but I won't have to wake up early for "school"
Having so much time off kind of makes me anxious. I know I could get a lot done but sometimes I get really anxious and end of wasting time on the couch kind of afraid to move. I can't explain my anxiety very well but sometimes I just go to the couch. It is horrible. I have all these thoughts of what I would like to get done before the school year starts up again.
- Meal Prep -just once maybe for a week it would be amazing to have all or most of our meals ready for the week. If I tried one Saturday or Sunday for the week ahead we could try it out to see if it is worth the day of prep.
- Laundry- Although fall weather won't start for a while I always seem to be caught off guard looking for warmer clothes. Also, I would love to get all my summer weather professional clothes in order for when the school year starts. Right now I am wearing camp clothes.
- A pedi- serves no purpose of being organized but I think I deserve one.
- Get our dishwasher door fixed that is a long story and now that I put it on the list I don't really want to talk about just yet. :)
- Survival bag- There is a very real possibility that I could get thrown up on, peed on, etc during the school year. I try to have a bag packed and kept in my car just in case I need to change. ( everything from shirt to shoes )Sure I would have to skip the shower but at least I would have clean clothes. Last year I had a great one packed. Then one day I was driving to work and my shirt just wasn't working. It was making me very warm and it was March and snowing. So once I got to work I broke into the survival bag. I haven't really replaced after that day.
- Maybe get to the beach. I am not a fan of sand or baking in the sun but I am a fan of reading and chilling out.
- Resume- Always helpful to be prepared, plus I have acquired some new skills and places of employment.
I guess I make resolutions 2x a year once in August and once in Jan.
What about you do you have a to do wish list?
I'm the same way with needing a schedule to keep me motivated to keep things on an even keel. I have to have a to-do list for my days off - otherwise I'm a slug because I either don't want to do anything or I literally can't wrap my head around doing anything, even if I'd want to.
ReplyDeleteI had to stop making New Years resolutions when I got tired of failing them (myself) after the first few days of January. A to do wish list might work out better for me. :)
I'm not doing very well with my retirement TO DO list and will definitely need more of schedule when the weather gets bad. I love pedis; they are so relaxing!
