OOPS I'm here I'm here

Okay  I know I stink and I don't write at all.  My life just got so busy yes having 3 jobs was a crazy idea.  It left me feeling stressed and rushed.  I would leave my full-time job race to pick up the boys I watch leave them at 5:15 and race to the third job.  While I only did this 2 days a week, it was crazy the pressure I put on myself to make it everywhere on time.  I hate being late, I don't mind if other people are late but it makes my stomach upset if I know I am going to be late.

Now that it is summer I am only working 2 jobs. I work Extended School Year in the morning it is academic work then in the afternoon we all go to the parks and rec's summer camp for social skills.  I still feel like I am racing to the summer camp portion because we leave school put the students/campers on the bus and try to beat the bus to the camp. The camp is about 5 minutes down the road.  I have just enough time to grab the golf cart. (Yes I get a golf cart)  drive to the top of the hill, and of course, check my phone LOL. Academic and Camp only run 4 days a week and only until 8/3. I still work the ABA job but for right now only 2 evenings a week.

The afternoon portion of summer camp has started off a bit exciting.  The second day we were there it started pouring. Due to the fact that it wasn't thundering or lightening the campers could still swim. It was dreadful I was soaking wet. Once we started hearing thunder they all got out of the pond (ICK) and we headed to the pavilion. I have to say I was pretty lucky because I get to drive a golf cart all around camp so the "walk" was fast. The storm continued with lots of rain, thunder lightening, and hail. Wednesday was exciting as well.  Again the campers were all swimming.  I usually stand ankle maybe knee deep in the water watching the one camper I have been assigned. I started to notice lifeguards, and other camp counselors turn around.  Out of curiosity, I turned to face the woods and there it was a BEAR!!! I have never seen a bear so "close" to me before it was crazy.
The last day of camp was the most special to me though I can't really get into it let's say there was amazing  AMAZING  peer interaction with my camper and the "typical" campers. The genuine interaction I was so happy my heart was so full.

My shoulder is still frozen and I am trying to do my exercises but I am lazy. When I go to PT I really stretch the shoulder and sometimes I only have one day in between sessions.  Now that I am on summer vacation and my sessions are more consistent I am going to try my hardest to be better at the stretching on my own.  It will only help me in the long run.

So what about you how is your summer?

  1. I hope you can work on the frozen shoulder! That sounds miserable. We just started summer break on the 23rd, but since I'm retired, the vacation will last forever. :)
